Emma is a Swedish language teacher from Gothenburg, Sweden, with over 7 years of teaching experience in Europe and Asia. She has taught Swedish to learners of all backgrounds – from university students to professionals preparing to work or study in Scandinavia.

She holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics from Uppsala University and a Bachelor’s in Education from Lund University. Before joining Mirai Language School, she taught at international schools in Copenhagen and Tokyo, designing interactive Swedish programs focused on real communication and cultural understanding.

Emma specialises in Swedish for beginners (A1–B1), academic Swedish, and Swedish for relocation and work. Her lessons focus on clear pronunciation, useful everyday expressions, and confidence in conversation.

Her teaching style is friendly and highly structured – she combines visuals, cultural examples, and step-by-step practice to make Swedish approachable and enjoyable for every learner.

Emma Lindström

Matt is an experienced English teacher and communication specialist with over 10 years of international teaching experience. He has taught students and professionals across Geneva (Switzerland), Shanghai (China), and Tokyo (Japan), combining a global mindset with a structured, motivating teaching style.

He holds a double master’s degree in Development Studies and Sociology from Lund University (Sweden) and Fudan University (China), and a BA in Sociology from the University of Warsaw. Alongside teaching, Matt has worked with UNHCR in Geneva, helping design multilingual communication and partnership materials for global campaigns.

Matt specialises in academic and professional English, IELTS and Business English, and intercultural communication. His lessons focus on clear communication, natural phrasing, and confidence-building, drawing on real-world examples from his international work.

His approach is both structured and student-centred – combining focused language input, authentic materials, and practical conversation tasks. He has taught learners from Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East, adapting each course to professional goals and cultural backgrounds.

Matt Wieckowski

Harry is a native English speaker from a Filipino-American background who brings warmth and energy to every class. He helps students sound more natural and confident through interactive lessons focused on real-life communication. With years of teaching experience across different cultures, Harry creates a supportive environment where learning English feels easy and enjoyable.

Harry Hommel

Yui is a dedicated Japanese teacher with over 8 years of classroom and online tutoring experience. She completed her studies at Waseda University and later took an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Tokyo, where she researched task-based speaking activities for adult learners. Yui has taught students from Europe, North America, and East Asia, and has run corporate language workshops for international teams in Tokyo.

She specialises in communicative Japanese for work and study (JLPT N5–N1 preparation), pronunciation and natural phrasing, and academic presentation skills for students preparing to study in Japan. Yui also speaks fluent English and conversational Spanish, which helps her explain grammar and exam strategies clearly to non-native speakers.

Her teaching style is warm and highly structured — lessons combine short, focused input, practical speaking tasks, and personalised homework. She adapts materials to each learner’s goals (career, university entrance, or everyday conversation) and uses bite-sized activities and visual prompts to keep sessions engaging and easy to follow.
